Relate helped nearly 4,900 people with sexual problems last year.

What is a Relate Centre?

Relate Centres provide a range of relationship support services for individuals, couples and families in their local community. These include relationship counselling, sex therapy, family counselling, services for young people and workshops and training courses for individuals and organisations.

Relate has 82 Centres across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Each one usually has several different locations at which they offer their services in addition to their main centre. Other locations may be in GP surgeries and other community buildings. Each Centre has a number of counsellors who, between them, may offer different specialisations and counselling in different languages. Centres also have professional training personnel on their teams.

Services reflect the needs of the communities Centres serve. A Relate Centre may be working in local schools or in partnership with other organisations such as charities or health authorities. They also often provide services to businesses and local government and contribute to local networks.
Relate Centres usually charge a fee to cover the cost of sessions. Relate Centres are charities and don't aim to make a profit from the services they provide. Some Relate Centres offer subsidised counselling sessions.

Use 'Find your nearest Relate' to find the nearest Centre to you, these locations are described as a Centre or as a Location managed by a Centre.
