Families can be a wonderful source of support and love, but they can cause a lot of stress and heartache too.
If things are feeling a little strained in your family it can help to sit down with a counsellor and talk things through together. This gives everyone a chance to share how they feel and bring issues out into the open.
What is Family Counselling?
Changes in family life like separation, loss of a family member or having your first child can create new tensions or make old ones worse. Family Counselling can help everyone to understand how each other is feeling and help you make plans for coping with the changes together.

What happens in Family Counselling?
What takes place in your Family Counselling session will very much depend on the unique needs of your family and what you would like to see change.
Everyone who comes along will be encouraged to have their say. Your trained counsellor will create a supportive, constructive environment in which family members will have the chance to listen to each other - and be listened to.
How can Family Counselling help me?
Family Counselling gives families the chance to talk over their problems without arguing and without anyone feeling like they're being ignored. Everyone is encouraged to take part - and no-one's opinion is given more attention than anyone else's.
The families we've worked with have told us that counselling helped them better appreciate the thoughts and feelings of other family members - and to feel like they were being listened to.
Adapting to change and dealing with conflict can be difficult and stressful. But the families who do make it through are stronger as a result. We can help you make that journey.
How much does counselling cost?
We charge a fee for counselling to cover the costs of the sessions. We currently charge £70 for an initial consultation, with on-going counselling at £65 per session. Please contact us to discuss our charges for block booking sessions.
We have various other costs for our telephone and webcam counselling. Please contact us to discuss further.
