The Separated Parents Information Programme (SPIP) is a short, structured course for parents designed to help them understand the impact of ongoing parental conflict on their children.
The programme provides advice and support about how to best help children in this situation and enables parents to take steps towards their own solutions.
The programme supports your parenting skills, and gives you information and ideas about separated parenting; it can point you towards help that is available to you.
What happens in a SPIP session?
The programme is four hours long and is delivered to both parents separately, in mixed groups of 8-10 people.
You and your ex-partner will attend separate courses which will allow you both to explore specific aspects of the course giving you both the space and time to consider the other's perspective.
SPIP sessions are delivered by skilled, trained facilitators who will support you in thinking about what happens next
What is the cost of the programme?
The programme is free to parents referred by the courts. It's also now available to parents outside of the court process at a cost of £150.00.
A certificate of attendance will be issued once you have completed the programme.
