Supporting your relationships during the cost-of-living crisis

Find out about the different ways you can access financial support with our fees if you need it.

We want relationship support to be available to everyone who needs it

At Relate, we know that relationships are central to our lives and an essential part of our wellbeing. We also know that, particularly at the moment, many people who might be struggling in their relationships are also under real financial pressure. And we know that pressures like these can build up and can put enormous strain on relationships. So, it’s all the more important that people can access relationship support now.

We want relationship support to be available to everyone who needs it in Cheshire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester. Whatever difficulties you’re experiencing in your relationships, we can help. We offer a range of services including relationship counselling, sex therapy, family counselling and young people’s counselling, and we know that these services work.

How do we know they work? 83% of our clients tell us that their situation is better after counselling, and 92% would recommend us to a friend.

Fees

We want to make sure you know about all the ways you could be supported to access counselling with Relate in this area. It costs us £75 to provide a counselling session, and that’s what we charge for relationship counselling, sex therapy, or family counselling if you can afford to pay. Young people’s counselling is offered at the lower rate of £55 per session. If cost is an issue, there are a variety of ways that you can get support.

Free counselling, discounts and subsidies

We work with range of partners who want to ensure their users and beneficiaries can access free counselling services when they need it. We also offer a 20% discount those in the NHS, emergency services, social care sector, and armed forces, through the Blue Light Card scheme.
