What is Relationship Counselling?
Counselling provides a caring and confidential environment where you can talk about issues and think about how you might like to approach them.
Relate Counsellor Graham explains how counselling works and how it can help.
What sort of issues can counselling help with?
People come to see us for all sorts of reasons.
You might be arguing all the time or even on the verge of breaking up. You might have found that the fizzle has gone out of things and you want to get it back. Or you might be happy in your relationship, but want to know how to make sure things stay that way.
If you've recently come out of a relationship, you might want to talk about what happened and what you might like to do next. Or if you've been single for a while and are having trouble finding a relationship, you might like to talk about that.
If you come to Relate Severn and Wye as a couple we will see you individually at first and then we'll see you together. Individual assessment provides a safe place for each of you to explain your reasons for attending Relate and to tell the counsellor what issues you would like to work on together. What you discuss with your counsellor in your individual time is always confidential to you.
Whatever the issue, your counsellor will not judge you and everything you say will be confidential.
What's the cost of counselling?
We are a charity and don't make a profit from the services we provide. We currently charge between £48 and £88 for each counselling session. If you live within Herefordshire, Worcestershire or Gloucestershire, there is a sliding scale of lower charges for those on lesser incomes.
The best way to find out if we can help is to get in contact.
“Thank you ..., you’ve been great!”
