Job Title: Experienced Couple Counsellors

Location: Chichester (In-Person Only)

Pay: £22.05 per hour

Hours: Daytime hours available; must be able to work at least one evening per week.

Relate West Sussex is a charity providing a range of counselling services, including couple, individual, family, children and young people counselling and psychosexual therapy. We serve both full-paying clients and offer subsidised services to low-income individuals and families.

Main Purpose of the Job

To provide high-quality, effective, and professional counselling services to couples in the Chichester area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the code of ethics and practice standards of Relate and relevant counselling professional bodies.
  • Follow all Relate policies and practices, including Safeguarding and Confidentiality, to ensure client and staff safety.
  • Maintain confidential records in compliance with data protection regulations and centre procedures.
  • Keep and submit records to enable effective monitoring and client feedback within agreed timescales.
  • Participate in individual and clinical supervision, as well as team meetings, as required.
  • Take responsibility for your professional development and training as agreed with your Supervisor and Centre Manager to maintain your professional status and meet business development needs.
  • Collaborate with the Centre team and Federation to ensure counselling services are delivered efficiently and professionally.
  • Undertake other duties as required by the Centre Manager that are appropriate to the position.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified couple counsellors.
  • Additional qualifications in family counselling, individual counselling, psychosexual therapy, or children/young people’s counselling are advantageous. 
  • You may be Relate-trained or have equivalent qualifications that meet the Relate Assessment of Prior Experience and Learning (APEL) requirements.
  • Reside in or around Chichester, or able to commute.
