Help for children and young people

Relationship difficulties affect children and young people too. You might be experiencing problems at school, issues with your parents, or generally not feeling right about yourself.

Counselling lets you talk about how you feel, separate from school and home life, and can help you get back to enjoying life.

Our counsellors are experienced relationship experts who can help you to talk honestly and openly and can support you with problems like:

  • Parental divorce and separation
  • New step-parents/siblings
  • Parenting teenagers
  • Difficulties and conflict in relationships at school, with peers, siblings, or your parents
  • Teenage counselling
  • Bullying
  • Pregnancy
  • Sexual identity
  • New relationships
  • Loss and bereavement
  • School transition
  • Witnessing domestic violence in the family home

You can expect to be helped by a supportive and non-judgemental counsellor. We will see children and young people who want to talk about any issues that's bothering them. If we can't help, we will do our best to find another specialist service which can.

Young people don't like being talked down to or feel they are being judged. Once they know that they have someone who will listen to them and will let them work it out for themselves they open up.
