Sex Therapy in Herefordshire, Worcestershire & Gloucestershire

Talking about your sex life can be difficult or even embarrassing. But it's also one of the best ways to get through any issues.

What is Sex Therapy?

Sex Therapy can help you deal with problems in your sex life or just help you spice things up again.

Watch the video below, in which Relate Sex Therapist Paula explains what Sex Therapy is and how it can help:

What sort of issues can Sex Therapy help with?

People come to Sex Therapy for lots of different reasons. Here are some of the most common:

  • Having a different sex drive to your partner
  • Feeling like you're stuck in the same routine
  • Problems with getting aroused
  • Feeling like you aren't having enough sex
  • Issues with premature or delayed ejaculation
  • Difficulties with orgasm
  • Sexual addiction
  • Painful sex
  • A lack of enjoyment or interest for one or both partners

At Relate Severn and Wye we can help with a wide range of issues, including many not listed above. The best way to find out if we can help you is to get in touch.

What happens in Sex Therapy?

After booking an appointment, you'll come in for an initial consultation.

If you're in a relationship, it's useful if you come with your partner, as many sexual issues stem from issues present in the relationship itself.

If your counsellor thinks Sex Therapy would be useful, you'll begin to see your therapist regularly. At the end of each session, they'll give you some practical exercises to try out in the privacy of your own home.

Everything you say will be entirely confidential and your therapist will do everything they can to help you feel comfortable and relaxed. Although some people find Sex Therapy a little awkward at first, many are surprised at how effective it is.

What is the cost of Sex Therapy?

We are a charity and don't make a profit from the services we provide. We currently charge between £48 and £88 for each counselling session.  If you live within Herefordshire Worcestershire or Gloucestershire, there is a sliding scale of lower charges for those on lesser incomes.

The best way to find out if we can help you is to get in contact.
