Are you enthusiastic and looking for a rewarding way to gain insight into the workings of a charity?
We’re looking for dedicated, passionate individuals to become trustees, office volunteers, receptionists or fundraisers to help us improve people’s relationships.
Trustees apply their experience – in business, finance, or marketing, for example – to help the charity act in the best interest of its beneficiaries. In other words, they make sure local families, young people and children are always at the heart of Relate’s work.
Office volunteers gain experience in the workplace and build their confidence and CV by supporting our admin staff in tailor made roles to suit your level of experience.
We have mentored people returning to work after an illness, supported a marketing intern to gain his dream job and offer placements to college students.
Receptionists have a very important role at Relate: at our locations across Dorset, South Wiltshire & Somerset, we need friendly people to meet and greet those coming in for counselling. Reception volunteers are responsible for making sure sessions are not disturbed and that everyone leaves the premises safely.
We also partner with the Volunteer Centre Dorset to support the Community Credit Scheme.
These are excellent opportunities to get involved in your local community and put your skills to good use.
