The British Army's own charity
The Army Central Fund is the British Army's own grant-making charity. We award funding to projects and activities that contribute to the well-being of serving soldiers and their families. We work closely with the Army and with our partner charities to optimise impact.
What’s on offer?
We are currently able to provide free counselling to Army personnel and accompanying families assigned to either British Forces Cyprus; Collective Training Groups within Kenya, Canada, or Belize; or Defence Engagement Groups (which may be situated in various countries). We are unable to offer counselling to personnel deployed in the USA.
You can be at any stage of your assignment and you or your partner can apply or refer a child for counselling.
Adult Relationship Counselling
Available to single Army serving personnel and married Army personnel and their partners, relationship counselling can help you talk through issues, improve understanding, and make positive changes. It offers a safe, confidential space to work things through. Army personnel can access up to six free sessions as an individual or with their partner.
Young People’s Counselling Ages 11-18
If young people in your household are struggling with school, family, or friends, counselling offers a safe space to talk and can help them feel better. Children aged 11-18 of army personnel can access up to six free sessions.
